Mark Van Brunt, currently Chief Administrative Officer for the operations of the San Juan Diego Institute, formerly was co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of the Raza Development Fund (2000-2018) supporting its President & CEO by facilitating the integration of the Fund's strategic, programmatic, and operational priorities including program grant activities, proposal development and related management, reporting and compliance processes.

Mr. Van Brunt has extensive experience in housing and community development and nonprofit management where he previously served as Deputy Vice President of Unidos US (formally National Council of La Raza) responsible for its national program operations in the industry and has served on numerous national bank and nonprofit advisory boards including Bank of America, JP Morgan Chase, the San Francisco Federal Home Loan Bank and Civic Builders. He earned a Master of Urban Planning degree from the University of Arizona, a Bachelor of Science in Social Sciences/Economics from the University of Santa Clara, and attended the University of Madrid in Spain.

Mr. Van Brunt and his wife Jenelle of 47 years have six children. The couple resides in Tempe, Arizona where they served the Diocese of Phoenix Offices of Marriage and Respect Life and Natural Family Planning as instructors for 15 years. The Van Brunts have also been members and leaders in a lay, Catholic, canonical community for 39 years.
